Week 80 - December 28, 2015 - Hyderabad, India

Christmas was unreal this year.  I can say that I got more gifts and blessings than ever before while serving the Lord.  Christmas eve we enjoyed at the Cobb home and they hooked us up with some sweet Indian Pajamas.  Then they gave us some cool ornaments too.  On Wednesday, we had our ward Christmas Program and we danced like anything.  We tried to prepare a dance a few hours before we did the real thing and it didn't really work out that well but we enjoyed like anything.

Christmas of course we got fed more Chicken/beef biryani.  Then to finish the week we gave some interviews and taught some lessons.  I am really grateful that church is starting at 1 pm next week because then we will hopefully be able to see more people coming to church.  On Tuesday, one of the senior couples came to Hyderabad and we watched the First Presidency Christmas devotional and did some Christmas singing and they brought us all a new pair of socks, it was pretty funny.

Good news is that my companion and I are staying together for another transfer here so we are going to make some new plans on how we can do more effective work here.  Weather was cool early this week but today it was a warm one, I think winter season might be over.

Today we went to the circus right by the church.  It was the kind of circus that every kid imagines with some one walking on stilts and clowns telling weird jokes and these guys from Manipur were putting knives down their throats it was crazy.  We weren't allowed to take any pictures but hopefully I can remember it.

Looking forward to a New Year.  A time of seting goals and reflecting on how we did this past year?  What can we do better?  What is the vision for 2016? and what will we do so that we can make that dream or goal happen?  Definitely so many things that i want to accomplish before my last 6 months are over.

Love all you guys,
Elder Wakefield
